History

TexasBank entered the Brown County market with the purchase of the Early Bank from FDIC in October 1985.  During the 1980's, several banking consolidations and mergers were evolving from the Texas Banking crisis; one of those mergers provided us the opportunity  to negotiate the purchase of InterFirst Bank in Brownwood in 1987.  On December 1, 1987, InterFirst Brownwood became TexasBank Brownwood and was simultaneously merged with TexasBank, Early.  TexasBank Brownwood is located at 400 Fisk Avenue.

Continuing the quest for growth, TexasBank once again entered into a purchase and assumption agreement with FDIC on First State Bank, Bangs in January 1992.  This purchase transaction resulted in the creation of TexasBank Bangs, located at 501 E. Hall.

Seeing an opportunity for further growth, TexasBank continued its expansion program with the construction and opening of our Camp Bowie Banking Center in July 1995.  Our Camp Bowie Banking Center is located at 3802 Hwy 377 So.

Furthering our philosophy of growth, TexasBank entered the Erath County market by completing the Stephenville Bank of America purchase in January 1997.  This later lead to the construction and opening of our new banking center facility located at 998 Wolfe Nursery Rd.

Opportunity for growth presented itself once again when TexasBank entered into a modified purchase and assumption agreement with Pacific Southwest in Dublin.  The transaction transpired in August 1997, and we now operate a full banking service facility at TexasBank Dublin, located at 301 N. Patrick.

TexasBank continues to seek opportunity for growth and expansion as we look toward the future, while maintaining the capacity to fully service and foster community and employee investment!
